2. WHERE CAN A SAFETY SPECIALIST WORK?
According to the current regulation, it is a legal obligation for at least 50 people to employ occupational safety specialists in jobs lasting more than 6 months continuously and in jobs considered as industry.
3. HOW TO BECOME A SAFETY SPECIALIST?
Engineer, architect or technical staff; Participating in the trainings organized by public institutions and organizations, universities and companies operating in accordance with the provisions of the Turkish Commercial Code, which have the necessary equipment and personnel and are authorized by the Ministry, in order to provide occupational safety specialist training, and then attend the trainings organized by the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety, or When they are successful in the exam to be held in the MLSS, they receive the occupational safety expertise certificate issued by the MoLSS.
4. CAN THOSE WHO HAVE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY EXPERTISE CERTIFICATE WORK IN ANY BUSINESS?
No, workplaces are classified as hazardous. There are 3 classifications as Less Dangerous, Dangerous and Very Dangerous. Accordingly, Occupational safety specialist certificates are of 3 types. They are Class A experts, Class B experts and Class C Expertise. They are certified in this way. Class A experts can work in all businesses, Class B experts can work in businesses with less dangerous and dangerous classes. Class C experts, on the other hand, can only work in less dangerous businesses.
5. WHO CAN RECEIVE A CLASS A SPECIALIZATION CERTIFICATE?
(A) class occupational safety expertise certificate;
1) Engineers, architects or technical staff who certify that they have actually worked for at least four years with a (B) class occupational safety expertise certificate, and who have participated in (A) class occupational safety expertise training and succeeded in the (A) class occupational safety expertise exam. ,
2) Labor inspectors who are engineers, architects or technical personnel who have inspected at least five years in the field of occupational health and safety, Ministry occupational health and safety experts who have worked as specialists for at least five years, engineers who have completed a doctorate in occupational health and safety or occupational safety. It is given by the Ministry to those who have worked for at least ten years as an engineer, architect or technical staff in the General Directorate and its affiliated units, or those who have been successful in the exam to be held for (A) class occupational safety expertise.
6- Who is the Class B Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate Given?
(B) class occupational safety expertise certificate;
1) Engineers, architects or technical staff who certify that they have actually worked for at least three years with a (C) class occupational safety expertise certificate, and who are successful in the (B) class occupational safety expertise exam to be held by participating in (B) class occupational safety expertise training. ,
2) Engineers, architects or technical personnel who have completed a master's degree in occupational health and safety or occupational safety, and those who have been successful in the (B) class occupational safety expertise exam,
It is given by the Ministry.
7- Who is the Class C Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate Given?
(C) class occupational safety expertise certificate;
(C) class occupational safety expertise certificate; It is given by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security to engineers, architects or technical personnel who have participated in the (C) class occupational safety expertise training and succeeded in the (C) class occupational safety expertise exam.
